I am looking at purchasing a Paradise Point trailer and wanted to know some of the weights on a unit that is 32.5 feet long. ( do not have the model #) It is a 2005
I am converting from an older model motorhome (1993 Winnebago Adventurer) and wanting to get into a 5th wheel.
I asked the owner and she told me the dry weight was 12500. I thought that seemed a little heavy for a 32 foot trailer. Also what is the hitch weight on something like that model.
I checked the websites and have not been able to find much on the PP units like with other trailers. If someone would have a link to that Info I would appreciate it.
I would be pulling it with a 2006 Dodge 2500 crew cab with an 8ft bead. 5.9 Cummins I have anout 53k miles on it.
I would not be doing long travel trips.I am in thesouth so not having to drive in the Mountains.
Tim, that trailer should be more like 9k to 10k dry weight. Here is a link below for the floor plans and weights on the 07 models just click on them and it will bring up the information.
Here is a link to a 06 PP 33RK that looks to be in great shape at a consignment lot in Cleburne, Texas. If you look towards the bottom of the 5th wheels you will see it. We have enjoyed or PP so far. We just got back from 4 days in it and leave in 10 days for the Texas Rally.
Tim, I believe Keith's estimate to be really close. Our 05 PF36SK is just a little over 12K ready to roll less the fresh water (clothes, food, storage area packed, etc). You should enjoy a Paradise Pointe, we have around 160 nights of almost trouble free RVing.
Thanks for all of the info. I researched the links and found the info I needed. Also saw several nice 5th wheels on the Texas link. Listed my Motorhome on the RVonline site last night so hopefully I will be able to sell it soon and be 5th wheelin'
When it was built it was considered at the top of the line
