I'll drink to that, Praise the Lord...The snow just started her within the last hour...I don't think we're going to get much, just enough to cover the ground...

Tommy, I'm sorry to say that the rally items that Crossroads said they would ship for our NECR has now been cancelled. Andy gave Christian the approval to ship us some items, but with the change of personnel, I guess they had second thoughts. It's a shame, we were the only rally for Crossroads products in the North East for the past 8 or so years. Even with Crossroads starting their own regional rallies, we a still the only North East rally for Crossroads Rv's.
I'm truly disappointed.

I as well am disappointed...I guess we got lost in the shuffle after Andy and Christian left the company...Thanks Mark for taking the lead in the endeavor to get our members some Crossroads items for our rally...

I am looking forward to the rally also...Unfortunately our main smoke guy may not be in attendance this year, and yes I agree with you hopefully him and Deb will be able to at least visit...Rick seems to have had his share of bad stuff this year...I hope he is feeling better now...As far as a new area of Pa. some of our members know this campground very well...I think it would be hard to find places to have the rally that some of our members that are LONG time campers have NOT been at some time or another...This seems to be a very nice campground and the management has been very helpfull with any questions or concerns I have had to this point...

Have not been out yet.. At this point I am still working on the 5er to get it ready for the season...Only have three trips booked so far...The two rallies and a trip to the Jersey shore for a nephew's wedding...I think this year we are just going to play it by ear...

I know Rick has had a difficult year but sounds like it is getting much better....We understand about new places to visit....not many in VA we have not been to but lots in PA...so it will be new to us....we also generally plan ahead and talked about not doing that next year except for the two rallies....but depending on the place or event if you dont get your site months in advance you dont get one....if we ever retire we wont worry about advanced reservations anymore..we will be where we are whenever....and that sounds good to me....already making plans for that day...going to SS office today..ok..see everyone soon...

I know what your saying about reserving ahead...A campground that we took the grand kids to a couple of years ago, I had to reserve in January to get the week and site I wanted... I have been in a funk all winter and just could not get it in gear... But I'm feelin much better now...

I'm open to anything. It's all good to me. I will be bringing a "smoked" item for the Wine and Cheese night.

I understand all you said but you lost me on the matching tanks comment... Unless you are talking about a drop in bed fuel tank for extended distance...As for myself I know I have to change my mind-set about some misconceptions I have had about retirement...This is something that could come up at a campfire...I personally would love to hear what some of our members that have been retired for a while have to say it...

PS...have started walking like Joe & Joan...

Tommy...yes..I installed a 50 gal aux tank in the bed of my truck kinda like Joe...when we traveled together to FL last month I had to stop everyday for fuel and he just kept on rollin...so now maybe he wont leave me behind...lol...also preparing for retirement dreams of traveling out west and to Alaska in 2018 at the latest...hence the new truck as well....and yes..retirement would be a good discussion around the campfire for us young folks....what I think it will be like might not be the real way it is....but with a farm, wood stove, greenhouse, and a lovely wife, etc I cant imagine being bored....I would like to hear your misconceptions about retirement you have had....maybe at the campfire....went to SS office yesterday...learned a few things...now back to the calculator....

Sola123, I'm retired from the same profession you're in. I will tell you retirement is great, but I'm as busy or busier now than when I worked. Some of it is my choosing, but I think you will enjoy it as long as you have hobbies outside the job, as I think most on this forum do. Keep your head on a swivel brother!
