A good gig for the summer

So, working commercial construction sometimes forces me to work outside of my home area, this summer is no different. I will be heading up a Dam project 2+ hours from home. Typically this ends up with the company having to pay a per diem, as well as lodging at a local hotel/motel. This summer I was fortunate enough to find a campground 15 miles from the site that had a seasonal spot available, at a fantastic price. (very small mom+pop place, with not much in the way of amenities other than a pool, and laundry room).
After going through what we would spend in a summer on sites, gas, ect. We decided to work out a deal with my employer for my lodging. Faced with approximately $1400-1500 a month bill from a nearby hotel, I asked them for $600 to cover my lodging (on top of my per diem) They jumped at it.
The campground is charging us $275 per month plus electric, So I get to put a few $ in my pocket each month, plus I'm much more comfortable in my own unit than in any hotel room to boot.
Weekends She feels like camping, I'll simply stay there. Other weekends I will make the drive home.
Hopefully we can wrap up the project by November when the campground shuts down for the winter, and I don't have to switch over to a hotel....

Sounds like a plan. Better than motel!

Just a word of advice: leave the tank valves closed then when 3/4 full dump them then close them again. Ours sat on a seasonal lot and the previous owner did that with the black but left the gray kitchen open and it built a grease dam that would take forever to drain. Called a plumber and he showed us on a drain line camera the grease dam. Took a while but it is now cleared out.

Yes, I've gotten into the habit of leaving them all closed, and before leaving for the week, I drain them, as well as shutting off the water at the hydrant, turning off water heater, ect.

Congrats! Always good when a little extra $ goes in the pocket.
