Am I the only one that does this?

Just wanted to see if anyone else does this or am I crazy like the wife says I am. Before we leave on a trip I wash the truck and clean the inside and I also will wash the camper if I didn't do it before I put her away.

The wife says I'm crazy because she doesn't understand why I wash the truck if it is only going to get dirty on the way to the campground. I don't have a good answer for her besides saying I like our stuff to look good when we head out on a trip and it makes me feel better. Hopefully there's other OCD guys out there that do the same thing so I can prove I'm not the only one that does this.

Nothing wrong with that. I drove at the Moab Utah to go off roading and had to wash it the day I got there. Wanted to look good the first day it hit the trails.

I still have not washed the new trailer. It is definitely time to looks dirty.

I have a tendency to wash the truck before outings unless I run out of time. The trailer usually gets a bath twice a year of which one is usually right before the mason Dixon group get together. The rig has to look good when meeting up with friends.

Nothing wrong with showing a little pride before going out. I bet the wife puts her makeup on before too don't she?

The wife and I wash exterior as often as practical (work gets in the way sometimes), roof 2 to 3 times a year, interior gets deep clean top to bottom every trip.

Sweeper gets run everyday we are in the it, after we pack and after we unpack.

We wash before we go and on the road. Although I must admit in Alaska with the roadwork it is futile I will wash again on the return trip bit I have washed the truck twice so far and the trailer once on the road. Washed and cleaned both before leaving.

I also wash and clean my truck weekly. Its just a pride of ownership thing.
I wash the camper as often as practical as i stay in it for months at a time.
Anyone who has worked hard to get something will take care of something will take care of it , because of all the sweat it took to earn it.

Yup, washed and waxed the truck before a big camping trip this summer. Now it's filthy, so as soon as the rain stops here It's time to wash/wax again.
Camper wasn't dirty so it got a pass but it too needs a wash now!

Chris see you are normal. You may want to remove the "old wifey" comment before you have her read this.

"women"

She hasn’t complained about polishing the truck or camper since I told her:“GUYs like to show off beautiful things; that’s why I married you.”

Unfortunately, she still complains about 85% of the other things I do.
