Blackstone 22" Griddle... Any owners?

Considering purchasing one, but would like some real world input from any current owners...... would you buy it again, go for a different model or manufacturer, ect.

Yes we love ours. I would suggest getting the stand also, legs are adjustable for any terrain. The hood is nice too, keeps things warm plus keeps rain, dust/dirt and bird droppings off the griddle.

Yes, so far have cooked hamburgers, hot dogs and pork chops on it. They came out great, love the grill. It's easy to clean and heats up fast. I use olive oil.

I did season the grill, my cast iron pan, and my stove griddle with Flax seed oil I got on Amazon. Much, much better than any other oil I used on the cast iron pan and griddle. It put down a really tough surface on the grill.

thanks for the replies, Guys. I was considering buying the kit. I'm not sure I would use the stand much, but its cheaper to buy the kit than buying the griddle/hood seperately.
does the griddle mount to the stand, or does it just sit on it? (I'm thinking in terms of storage)

The 4 small feet on the griddle drop into holes on the stand, very convenient. The legs on the stand slide in and then fold into the top.

Well, put it this way, we bought a 17" Blackstone for the camper and loved it so much that we purchased a second 36" for our home! The griddle is so much better than a grill in the fact that you can cook breakfast, lunch & dinner on it and it's so much easier to clean! Go for it!

I am not sure of the model, but we bought a Blackstone grill. It had the griddle surface and was self contained. It had legs that fit into the bottom and snapped together. It was a decent little grill except for one thing. The regulator never worked right. It was difficult to tell what setting the heat was on and the heat would fluxuate. It was very frustrating to use and a lot of stuff would just not cook or get burned. I did contact them at one time to get a new regulator which would cost about $15, but for some reason at the time they could not ship it and I never called them back. We originally paid about $49 for the grill on some sale which was a good price. Now we have a coleman grill. I do love this grill, but even collapsed, it takes up a lot of storage space. It just doesn't fit into any nooks or crannies in our storage bay and is always just in the middle. It doesn't play well with other stored items. It is also very heavy.

Good luck with the Blackstone.

Thought I'd post a pic of the chops we had tonight on the Blackstone.

Wow, I really like it!! But I would need a longer truck bed and have to hire someone to help load and unload it.

Lloyd, you can go in business with that one. Stand by the side of the road and sell fresh made burgers, hot dogs, sausage. Put the money towards a new truck.

I really can't justify one like you have.

Besides, I'm pretty satisfied with my Char Broil and the pellet grill. They do the job real good for what we cook on the grill.
