Russ and John,
Have made reservations for Janet to fly into Montrose the 10 of July. The Pups and I will leave the first of July and should be in Montrose by the afternoon of the third of July. WHich is the better of these two camp grounds? Cedar Creek or Centennial ?? I will be there for three to four weeks that is yet to be determined. Still up in that air on which way to come in. Leaning toward Durango Delores Rico Ridgeway and into Montrose. Still might do Brent fort and in over Monarch pass.

Don't have any knowledge of either campground you mentioned...sorry. Only tent camped in years past near Silverton and also east of Delores. Have only pulled a pop-up over Monarch back in '03 but don't think you'll have any problems there. Always enjoy stopping in Rico for a little while. Your route looks good either way. Good time to come out!
I like the Rico, Dolores route. Trout lake is very nice and Lizard Head pass is nice. We went elk hunting in the Rico area for over 30 years. I tell my wife I'm going to be buried in Rico, but it probably isn't going to happen. This route isn't as bad as to pull as Red Mountain. All of it is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!
Llyod I guess you will have to come down and keep an eye on the Flying J for me.
I have told Janet that when my time comes (might be sooner than I think if I keep Pxxxx her off, just to cremate and take me to the family plot in Ouray. Not matter which way I come in it will be breath taking, There is no bad views in western Colorado

I have also thought about a plot in Ouray. I really like the San Juans. Both of our sons got married in Telluride and we all had great times. I would fit in, in Ouray much better than in Telluride. I can enjoy Telluride, but it has a much different group of people than Ouray. If I had bought property in Telluride years ago, I could be Mr. Justman today!
It all ways has been two different types of people. I remember back in the 60's that we were over in Telluride, and we were offered a block of downtown for 15,000. But I said it was a dead town, not like Ouray that had its mining going on, and the hot water pool so we passed. If we had only known
