If you are looking for a portable ice maker, then Frigidaire and homeLabs are the best. I also like the Opal Nugget Ice Maker, but the price would be out of your budget. Maybe more than $400, but you can get one if you find a pre-owned one in good condition.

Update:

So I received my ice maker on Thursday. On Friday I proceeded to hook it up to the cold low point drain. So, I’ve been playing with the ice thickness setting. Has 0-20 adjustments for the thickness. Seems to make ice every 12 minutes depending on the adjustments I make with the thickness. Each number you add to the thickness add a minute to the ice making cycle. For instance if you set the thickness to 10 I will make a batch of ice in 22 minutes instead of 12 and so on. So the best I can tell right now I’ll be harvesting 10-15 Lbs every five hours if I set the thickness around 10 which should keep my coolers in ice. So it’s about what I figured; it produces about half of what it advertised it would do which will work for me.

Ted, you should be able to hang a sign out and sell ice to pay for the camp site.

Lol. Might have to put a lock on it to keep campers from helping themselves.

Just ran another batch for 5 hours and the little ice machine put out 12.5 pounds exactly of ice. So I’m looking at 60 Lbs in 24 hours. Giving we use between 30-40 Lbs a day fishing; that should work out well for us.

It’s always 5:00 somewhere. Fish fry follows.
