Concealed Carry

I am going to cautiously open this can of worms.
I am curious how many out here carry a concealed weapon either in your rig or on your person, with of course the proper permits.

I still call 911, unless I need something faster.

Yes, retired law enforcement. I will not carry in New Jersey though, as I hear they have their own regulations as to permits. I was pleased to find out that persons with CCW permits can carry in national parks. To be honest I mostly have it in my truck or trailer, but feel more comfortable having it nearby. I'm at Bryce Canyon right now.

I plan to avoid not-so-friendly states like NJ myself.

Always, everywhere. I don't go to un-friendly states like NJ either. We need national carry. Heck, you can drive everywhere with your license. Cars are far more dangerous than a gun anyway. Hopefully with the big changes coming this will happen.

I carry when I can and would support national carry.
Rules and laws are only applicable to to honest people.

Here in Kansas, we have passed a Constitutional Carry law, basically meaning anytime and almost anywhere. Can even carry in some schools unless posted otherwise.
The only campgrounds I have come across that you cannot carry is Corps of Engineers

I found an easy to use app for iPhone it's a big help. The laws are constantly changing from state to state. I too support National carry

Don't own a gun & don't really want to be in a park where everybody is packing. Been fulltimers for 8 years & NEVER needed one anywhere. But you guys are more than welcome.

I'm curious. Seeing as you are full timing. That means you are in your RV 24/7 365 days of each and every year.
How do you screen or check out the RV parks to see if there are any of those nasty old gun totters there before committing to staying there?

I have never needed a fire extinguisher either, but I keep one handy

Most parks we go to are privately owned & safer than state parks which we are too big to get into away. If we pull in & there's a fifth of Jack on the table & they're all sittin' 'round cleaning their guns we'll look for ya!
I also carry a fire extinguisher & will probably need it long before I need the gun.
But if you feel safer packing heat then by all means do so! I'm more scared knowing that 50% of the people I see DO have a gun!! My SIL/BIL are carrying all the time & that scares the HELL out me.
