Topeka, Ind.-based towable builder CrossRoads RV has named industry veteran Vern Bontrager as the Western regional sales manager for the company’s Rushmore fifth-wheel line.
According to a press release, Bontrager’s territory will encompass dealers west of the Mississippi River and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Alberta.
Bontrager started his career at Jayco Inc. where he was a regional sales manager for the West Coast for 15 years. Most recently, Vern was the western regional sales manager at Newmar Corp. for 10 years.
“Vern’s 25-year Midwest, Southwest, and Pacific Coast focus means that he has a deep understanding of the specific challenges and needs in the western marketplace,� said Brad Whitehead, product manager of the Rushmore line for CrossRoads RV. “Vern brings a wide range of industry achievements and fifth-wheel knowledge that will help grow the Rushmore brand for Crossroads RV. We are very pleased to welcome him to the Rushmore team.�
Bontrager will be located at the CrossRoad’s Topeka corporate offices and traveling as needed for dealer support. CrossRoads RV is a subsidiary of Thor Industries Inc.
