WOW.....now why didn't I think of that! We could do the same thing for bears, Moose and WAIT...how about those dreaded "falling rocks".

I know right. I mean why do the rocks have to fall right there?

I noticed that the wrecked cars had Colorado plates on them. While we do have a healthy deer population here, most of us are aware of them and have started installing crossing lights where the signs are. That way the deer know when its safe to cross.

yup, Rick..we did the same, here in Pennsylvania.
However, now the deer are complaining because they have to wait sooo long for the light to change.

That has been around for a while...I like to think it was a spoof pulled on the radio station...If not a joke, it means that this woman is able to reproduce and to vote...

now, it has come to my attention, that the deer lobby wants to introduce legislation to have the Commonwealth provide deer crossing guards, as well as landslide / falling rock guards.

Who knew? All the money I have spent for scent lock clothes and sprays, attractants, and such, all I really need to do is swipe the deer crossing signs and post on each side of my deer stand. Genius!

Walt, have they talked about putting in the little buttons so the deer could press them when they want to cross?

the little button issue is a hidden item, due to the expense, just like most other legislation. Of course, they may station a "button" buck at these places.
