Dunham Sporting Goods

If you have a Dunham Sporting Goods store close to you and you need a Dutch oven (cast iron of course) they have a reasonably decent one.

IF you sign up to get their email flyers, on your birthday, you get a 30% off coupon. $55.00 - $16.50 = $38.50 + tax for (IIRC) a 10 qt dutch oven to stick out on the fire is not a bad deal.

Typically they send 20% coupons off at least once a month.

Any time you buy cast iron, take something sturdy enough to hang it from without touching the metal. Take an old spoon or something and "ring" the pan.

If it goes thunk it is cracked, but if it rings like a bell it is good. Same thing with grinding wheels. Stick them on screwdriver and ring them. If they go thunk throw it in the trash so it doesn't blow up in your face like a hand grenade.
