Fuel prices

I see the price of WTI Crude oil is down to $49.89
If that holds, we will be able to travel a lot cheaper this summer.

Gas prices are around $2.00 bucks in Central Illinois and I just filled up with diesel for $3.19. That's with the winter blend no bio and they also mix in the fuel additive for the winter where I buy all my diesel from.

I wonder if the lower gas prices are going to send more campers out on the road, making it that much more crowded at the campgrounds.

We have been discussing a possible trip to Alaska for 2016 and now my husband is suggesting we move that ahead to 2015. He has decreed that the fiver is not going and he is looking to buy (and later re-sell) a truck camper. I am not sure how that would work, especially after being used to 34' of comfort.

It's all under discussion.

I am enjoying the prices but I already expect prices to be back up before July.

I read that since gas prices are so low that the government is thinking about imposing a additional 12 cent tax per gallon? Idiots!

I think once the Saudi"s stop punishing Russia and Venezeula for lowering the oil price the party will be over. I hope we get to enjoy it for a while.

Secondly it is effecting the stock market now. Big drop today over 300 points.

I paid $1.93 for diesel this past Saturday in New Braunfels, TX. I'm not sure why it went so low, but I checked gasbuddy.com again this morning and it's gone up to $2.30. Still cheaper than any other station around SA.
Hoping it will stay low for a while.

Diesel is down to $2.98 here in Mebane NC (just west of Durham/Chapel Hill area). I'm loving these prices.

Prices are sure a lot better than when we first started out with the RV. I remember the five dollar a gal. Enjoy them while we can as I do fear the TAX idea talked about above. I also fear the production in the US may slow down as the cost of production is less than the price at the pump.

Gas prices here just jumped up .25 - .30 cents a gallon this morning. Regular unleaded last night was running around $1.85 and diesel has been around $3.19 on average.
