I have two. This one is a classic trailer that was on display at a local fair.

The second is a Class B/C? motor home at a campground we were at last week.

Jim- that is cool. My DH would have loved being parked next to them.

The first one is a Shasta from the 60's. Shasta started in 1941 and they are going to reproduce them in a limited quantity with upgrades.

Yes, I knew it is a Shasta - you can tell by the cute little wings on the back. It is in very nice shape and is owned by a local fellow who runs a body shop and RV repair shop.

Not sure what the second one is, however.

He put a lot of work into it. Matching rims, cooler, water cooler, and easel.

We were at Mill Creek RV Resort one weekend when they had a LARGE group of artist/rv'ers (50 or so) that refurbished their vintage small trailer.... I THINK it was the tin can tourist group...

It was stunning what they had done, many fully custom painted inside and out with beautiful murals... They were gee-or-geous, but Momma didn't think they were very 'livable' looking at 10 to 15 foot long

They are interesting to look at - kind of like classic cars. I agree that they are not as liveable as our modern RVs. The Tin Can Tourists were at the Tampa RV Show a couple of years ago. They had an interesting display. If you like looking at old RVs, stop by the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Indiana. It is not far from Shipshewana, where the annual factory rally is held.

We went there last month and our daughter did a number of video interviews with the curator there, who is a very knowledgeable person when it comes to vintage RVs. Once she has finished editing the videos, she will submit them to RVTravel.com for publication on the internet. I will post the links here when they are available.

Maybe you should step down to a smaller towing vehicle?
