hey hey

Pretty quiet here.
You guys all snowed in, or froze up?

It's cold enough around here I know that. We were having temps in the 40's and 50's. Boy when the cold moved in it seemed like it hit all at once.
MN. and WI. both are saying wind chills from 25 to 40 degrees below zero tonight.
Bundle up and stay warm and safe everybody.

Have to take my Cruiser in for warranty work Monday, and of course, it calls for 2 snow storms this weekend into Monday. Do I have to put snow tires on the Cruiser?

Heat wave here at 11,000 feet elevation! 40 degrees now with 32 low forecast for tonight. Made shoveling last night's 5 inches more bearable. Forecast low for Saturday is -4. Now to plan my February trip to AZ & CA. Stored the Fox Mountain 5er in Tucson last month after a month's trip down. Didn't want to tow it back to Colorado and then back down again in Feb. Don't have to worry about whether or not I can get it out of my snow-packed storage lot here at home. Also cuts my travel time to Tucson not towing. C'mon February! C'mon Denver RV show Jan. 5th!

Snug as bug here. Everything nice and warm indoors. Outside about 20°, wind chill, whatever. 4" of snow last night. More to come I'm sure. My English Springer kick'n back from playing in the snow.

Two more days of short sleeve weather before 1st real freeze on Sunday. I have 6000 lbs of curb stone to install, then spend a little time inside when it turns cold. Then time to start getting the Cruiser ready to leave the end of the month. Everyone, stay safe and warm. P.S., is snow shoveling still a good way to get warm? Been 55 yrs since I've had that pleasure.

I'll be bringing a bunch of boy scouts up to camp near Rice Lake the first weekend in January. I am really hoping for a heat wave as some of us are sleeping outside. When I looked at the temp this am it was -10, and that doesn't sound like good camping weather. I might end up in the truck that night or the box trailer if it is too bad.

When I was in the scouts, we did a winter campout in deep snow. Upper tip of Maine in an unheated log cabin. Tough as a kid, wouldn't want to do it as an adult. I've been in Eau Claire in the winter time, hope the weather gets better for your trip.

You must be headed for Camp Phillips. That's a little north west of Haugen.
I use to live within a few miles of it. That's a really nice camp, but you guys are tougher then me. There ain't no way I would be sleeping outside in January just to be camping.
If there's enough snow, you might consider setting up what they call a (snow coffin). You might be able to stay warm then, if you have a good sleeping bag.

Hey, Larry-

Can't say that snow shoveling is a good way to keep warm but it is A way to keep warm.

Joyce and I had a real workout today with the 18 inches overnight. Be more than happy to send a foot or so your way, Frank!
