I wasn't there but watching it on TV I understand why you would notice 6 crossroads rv's........
Boring!!! I hate those cookie cutter tracks.

Unfortunately NASCAR Sprint Cup is dying a very slow, painful death. The TV ratings for the Chase races have been dismal so far. I maintain Cup racing died at Turn 4 of Daytona on February 18, 2001. Do you think we would be seeing the same boring racing/drivers if Senior was still alive?

I gotta agree with you Art, sad really. I used to be a die hard fan, now I catch the highlights of a race every once in while. Things like the pentaly fiasco with the 33 sure aren't helping them imo.

When NASCAR neutered Tony Stewart it was all I could stomach. We used to attend at least three Cup races a year plus buying driver merchandise. NASCAR aimed for the younger crowd with the short attention span and shot itself in the foot. It forgot us, the long time die hards. The COT is a disaster. I would watch every race now I watch none. I miss what it used to be.

I napped while I watched it on TV in the Cruiser. I agree it is not what it once was.

Some year we hope to get to a track and Kansas is the closest. Like everything all things change do you REALLY think SR. would be driving yet. Funny how JR is just like the Pettys, dad great/son sucks. We watch most races waiting for the start now.

Senior might not still be driving at age 59 but his opinions would still carry lots of weight with the France family and fans.
