So how are you Northwest Cruiser owners dealing with this heat wave? We have been sleeping in the 5'er every night. Best thing I ever did was run the 30 amp service to my shed which is next to where I park my trailer. 10:30 at night and it is still 90 degress in the house, 88 degrees outside and 72 in the trailer. Needless to say the AC in the trailer has been running most of the day.

Now, before we start to hear from those in the warmer climates of this country, I have lived in those areas in years past and most folks there are better equipt to deal with it. We have a record heat wave going on and tonight Seattle is expected to have the highest low temp on record. Seems like a long ways away from the record snow fall we were having 7 months ago!

Good luck and I hope everyone finds a way to keep cool...

Patrick, let me tell you about our Summer so far. Today will be our 41st day above 100* and our average high for July has been 102.3*. We are in the worse drought in the past 125 years according to the news. The lakes are dropping to the point they are finding vehicles in them that people dumped over 20 years ago. If we don't get some rain in the next couple of month's we are told the water well we are on may run dry. Yeah I tell people if you want to know what Hell is like just come to Central Texas for a few days............

We are here in the Elwha Campground in the Olympic National Park and it's around 90 - hot. The Honda 2000 won't run the AC so we are kayaking and swimming in Lake Crescent and in the Straits. Probably are going to move to the coast today but will have to be back in Seattle on Monday - hope the hot spell is over.

The national weather service just posted 104 for Monroe Or,r about 30 degrees above average. The same service shows Buda TX at 96. Maybe we should all head south and cool off..

Yeah they did not expect high clouds this afternoon. But come on down, here is our 8 day forecast........ The local weathermen think it is funny to put in a chance of rain.

To be fair we have to handicap it. Keith is only 5-6 degrees above average. We are 20-28 degrees above average. Right now we are under a severe thunder storm warning. The clouds are moving back downout of the mountains. I think in the nextcouple of hours we will see a midwest style lightening show...

Stan, I think you are sitting out on that island in the Sound andwon't get the full affect of this one...Should be an interesting evening here.

Even though I'm on an island, it still hit 102 today. The difference is it cools down at night, at 77 now. I know a lot ofplaces/states it doesn't cool down.

If you're going to go south for cooling, don't just go to south Washington State. Vancouver, Wa.broke the record yesterday at 107. House has air so we are very comfortable but a cool down would be good. Going to Lynden, Wa next week for the antique tractor show. Hope it cools down some by then.

happy camping

In western Colorado we have had a few 100 degree days. The least days over 100 in the last 45 years that I can remember. Our average rainfall in 8 inches a year and we could some above average. Our spring was cooler than usual and summer has been some cooler. Maybe all the heat went to Texas and the North West!!

So far, here in the east, we've only had two seasons so far; winter and late spring. We're getting plenty of rain so lets make a trade. A little of that summer heat for our consistant rain.
