Pizza oven

Anybody have one, or familiar with the PizzaQue portable pizza oven?
I think they look kind of interesting.

How hot does the pellet stove get, and how long does it take to get the pizza cooked?
They claim 700+ degrees on the PizzaQue, and the pizza is suppose to be done in 6 min.

To small. Doesn't have a stone. Barb refuses to have one . Claims it would be to hard to get it cleaned out inside. Pizzas are awful greasy.

I have a stone just for the grill/ smoker. In my eyes if you clean it, its like washing the coffee pot, you take flavor away.

What do you use to get the pizza off the stone when it's done?

PizzaQue claims not to use metal on theirs.

I lift it with a spatula and slide a pan under it. I used to have a large wooden pizza peal but I think my wife tossed it.

I have a plastic one and a silicon one. I have lived it with a metal fork before. I treat it like my cast iron, only use metal as a last resort.

We have a stone and a large steel pizza spatula. You build your pizza on the spatula which we pre sprinkle corn meal on it so pizza slides off easy onto the stone. Most times we are camping but now I want to do some at home on our new pellet grille. Camping we do it on the portable Weber BBQ.

Found the stone and spatula at Ace Hardware. Set my smoker at 415° takes 10 minutes to bake. Pizza dough found at Winco foods. Plus all the toppings. Trick is rolling/pulling out the dough. I get better each week.0325201503.jpg

I don't think there is a Papa John's around here, BUT, we do have Papa Murphy's.
They are bake your own. We like their pizza. Especially when cooked on the pellet stove.
