Taking a quick look at these new numbers it raises a few questions. Could this be why the quality and workmanship of most newer RV’s is so poor? And with all of these new units being sold and very few if any new campgrounds being built where is everyone camping?
I know in Wisconsin it is extremely difficult to get a reservation on a weekend in Wisconsin State Parks.
One would wonder that when all on the “Covid campers” realize camping is not for them will there be an abundance of used/almost new rigs out there?

It’s the same thing here where I am. Good luck in finding a campsite. When our booking system opened up, I was in line for 3 hours before I could login to book sites.
I’m currently looking for a half ton towable 5th and a 2500 truck. After research I find the 5th’s are a bit lower and the height of newer trucks is gone up. Everyone is selling all their 33’ and longer as big sites are hard to get.

The questions you have posed here are being raised all over in the RV communities.
In my opinion there is a strong yes to both of them. I have also wondered where everybody is camping. Plus with all the new campers, there is getting to be quite an out cry among some of the older campers wondering what has happened to campground etiquette as it use to be known.

Locally we have the same thing. Reservations are harder to find then hens teeth. We took a drive the other weekend to a local state park that was "Fully Booked" and there were a few spots open but all had reserved signs. Guess people do not realize who knows what will be going on in 4 months when they made the reservations.

And we are starting to see on the local swap shop people trying to sell last years models for the same as a new one. I asked one seller and his response was that's what it takes to clear the bank loan. 10 year financing looks good until they realize the first few years payments are mostly interest.

And in my opinion the way they are pumping the new ones out quality is suffering. "If it's not right ship it the dealer will take care of it at the sale"
And the service departments are swamped and parts are hard to get at the present time. Parts go to the manufacturer to keep up production so the aftermarket has to wait.

No camping spots were available in state parks in PNW within few hours after the system was open. I do start to see some spots pop out open in 2 to 3 week advance as some take loss and cancel. I do not see too many year old rigs on sale yet but the COVID campers here tend to be better suited financially. I do see a lot of pop-up trailers being posted that fit the lower budget and less commitment approach.

Well the resale on RV's up here has gone stupid. I just saw a listing for the exact same 5th that I have. And to give a little info "These are CDN dollar asking price"

2014 CAF29MK bought in 2020 for 23,000. Asking price now through a private seller is 35,000 now. I can't believe someone would be crazy enough to pay for that.

There was a early 2000 18-20ft bigfoot (boler type) hitch pull just listed for 32,500 up here. Now everyone made comments about it being over priced. But these are asking prices. And it seems to be across the board.

Craziness......
