Snow

I know all of us are tired of snow. I thought this was especially funny because it was originally posted on a Texas Hill Country site that I follow. With all of you smart folks on here, we could start a new venture and probably put this thing into production in no time. Oops, I forgot - retired and no kids!

Please market that in NC. Oh and when I was little and going to school in Michigan, the school buses had chains on the tires but that jacked up red neck version of a bus is a surefire seller here in the south.

And, Aileen, in the summer they could rent them out for mud bogging!

Aileen & Jean
I think it would be a waste of money. If they closed the schools where Aileen lives when they only had an inch of snow. I don't think the means of transportation was the issue.

Goodness! We USA Southerners definitely know hot but we usually get a huge dose of humidity with it. Very uncomfortable at times.

Right now in Melbourne I just checked - its 38C/100F & 15% Humidity..... very dry heat down south here Up north more regular heat..... in Queensland its Beatiful one day and perfect the next ! but- with the heat comes 80%, 90% or even 100% Humidity.

Yes Tim...This is "The Beast" ! http://www.iveco.com.au/index.php/on...range/dual-cab A bit wierd.... especially as I use to go to work - but with a 18,000lb+ Gross Combination Mass... it is one of the only vehicles over here to be able to tow a decent size fifth wheeler.

Students here in NE PA have had 9 snow days so far this year. We sure could use that bus here. Of course the kids wouldn't like it.

We will customize with flame graphics and a cool transformer look. That should help in getting them on the bus. Aileen, I think we could get all the parents to sign up for this.

well I need it right now.... this big horrible snow storm that has finally just started to produce enough snow flakes that if you squint, you might see them is already wreaking havoc down here. I got a 6 am phone call to tell me that schools would close 3 hours early. Some schools didn't open at all. Everybody is pushing the panic button.

Wait until the Bread and Milk panic sets in. When they predict snow in RI you will find empty shelves everywhere!

Heck we got a strong dusting today but due to the temp is turning to ice will be gone by tomorrow afternoon temp will be back in the mid to upper 30's than by Saturday back into the 70's but you should have seen the crowds at the stores when I went by. Janet kids me that I buy too much stuff all the time especially if it is a real deal. During my working career I was all ways on commision. I learn early on to save when you had bad months or a year. She say I have enough meat in the deep freeze for six months, if this true time to buy more

Oh my. A dusting to 3" of snow. How will the southeastern states survive??

Seriously.
I guess when you're not prepared for snow and ice it could be dangerous. Hope everybody down south stays safe.
So far this year we've had about 24" of snow here in NE PA.

Looks like 1 to 2 inches outside this morning. But, the snow is not the issue, it is the ice. Must be 1/8 to 1/4 inch of ice on the street in front of my house. Nothing moving at all out there. Forecast to get above freezing mid afternoon so I hope it melts enough to get to work tomorrow. I dislike having to use a forced vacation day. I was able to get home yesterday before the worse hit, but apparently there are a lot of stranded motorists north of here, up around Atlanta. Bad situation.

2" of snow is quite a bit when there are no plows.

One of the good things about living here is that although there is snow and ice now, tomorrow it will be in the mid 40's, next 2 days mid 50's, and upper 60's by Sunday.
