Stay at Home Order: NC

Our NC Governor just issued a stay at home order for all of NC for the next 30 days due to the virus. So, our April beach fishing trip for three weeks is now canceled. I understand this is necessary to combat this awful virus. I feel very fortunate to live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC. As I sat outside this evening on the back deck looking down over our pond. I was listening to the hundreds of tiny frogs chirping in the pond. In the distance I could hear a wild turkey gobbling somewhere over the ridge. Wild wood ducks were swimming around in the pond and I thought to myself. If I have to be quarantined for 30 days with this order; what a wonderful place to be. I will change my big fishing trip to Hatteras NC for October and thank God that I’m healthy and live in such a peaceful beautiful place. I hope everyone stays healthy and hopefully our camping adventures will one day soon return.

For you campers needing a little wildlife action. Here’s a video from our deck looking down from our backyard in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Have a feeder year round down at the pond. With this stay at home order, everyone showed up for breakfast. Notice the wild white turkey toward the end. And see if you can spot the small wild wood ducks in the pond. https://youtu.be/tUDvdTu2pPE

Papa-T, that is an awesome back yard! Would love to have something near to that. Enjoy the afternoons with cold beverage and stay safe.

Loved your wildlife! Envious of no snow.

It's been a heavy snow year here and it's piled high. Here's a pic of a couple of our wildlife neighbors through our TV room window checking out what's on the big screen. They seem to like the Food Channel.

Tried 3 times to rotate pic but apparently lack the skills.
