Thursday night field-trip

Our youngest son just started college this week, so we can be more spontaneous now that we're empty nesters. We headed up into the mountains (Goreman) to beat the last of the summer heat (except we missed summer by one day). It was warm when we got there, but it blew all night and the temps were in the low 40s when I left camp for work this morning. Hopefully it stops blowing so we can have a nice fire tonight.

Thanks Stan. It started out peaceful until the winds kicked up. That's OK though, they just rocked us to sleep. Then at 2:00 am I started dreaming funny dreams about trucks backing up, doctors with old fashioned pagers, and buildings on fire. Then I woke up and heard the alarm on the fridge telling me that we had run out of propane on that side. I switched it over when I got up at four this morning and I pulled the empty tank so I can refill it after work before I head back up the hill.

Definitely. I retracted them when we turned in last night.

OK, hold all my calls. I'm headed home to pick up the dogs (and refill the LP) and then headed back up the hill.
