We have a membership at Roaring Run (Champion PA), and we will go to Rose Point (New Castle PA)and Kozy Rest (Harrisville PA). We have plans to go to Hershey in July and Myrtle Beach in August

Only Electric and that is only on some of the sites. I have yet to go to a PA state park and have water or sewer on the site. Always have to tank water on the way in and dump sewer on the way out. Makes for long lines on the holiday weekends.

Looking at the PA website, I may start camping in private campgrounds. For a normal weekend, it looks like it is going to run me about $28.00 pernight. And that is electric only. It looks like for 2009, they are charging anightly rate of $15.00 + $4.00 (premium for Fri or Sat night) + $4.00 for moderm (has flush toilet/showers) + $5.00 for electricity. On top of that, if the site is a designated pet site, add another $2.00, even if you don't havea pet. Some of my favorite sites are now pet sites. Some parks must have water (+$8.00) or water/sewer (+$13.00)at the site since I see those prices posted also.

George, I assume since you go to Kozy Rest and Rose Point that you like them. The one thing that I like about the parks we usually go to is that the sites are not smashed right together. When you sit around the campfire, you don't feel like your neighbor is sitting right with you.

Chris, Rose point is close at the back in sites, the pull through are ok, not as tight. They have a lot of seasonal sites, only like 20 or 21 we could get our TT's on. They only have one 50 amp site in the front right now and it is site 8 (as of last year). That is the one I try to get. If they put another long trailer benind me on site 1our back bumpersare only a couple feet away and I keep my rear blind shut. Kozy Resy has nice sites where you are not on top of one another. Most at Kozy are full hook up. If you decide to go to Kozy, make reservations in advance they fill up for weekends. My parents had their TT here on as a permanent for something like 25 years.
