Elon Musk did a tug of war against that truck with the Tesla truck and won! Amazing![emoji4]

I believe your thinking about the Tesla truck and a Ford. At a curb weight of 30000# the Tesla would not stand a chance.

You may think it a waste but I'd say he did ok. He spent 7 mil and 7 yrs and got 12 mil for it. A 5 mil profit isn't bad

Not only that, he probably had tons of enjoyment building something so unique. The sense of accomplishment must have been tremendous.
Hats off to human ingenuity.

I agree, very ingenuous!
My point though was that with all that time/money/ingenuity too bad he didn't build something more useful! The only use of that thing is to sit in a building somewhere collecting dust & people walk by & say "WOW, look at that thing" then keep walking.
As someone said "there's one born every minute", in this case there were 2 born that same minute, the builder & the buyer.

Fact remains---he made 5 mil. Likely more then any working man makes in a life time.
Plus he can say--I made that.

As of last Sunday, he had 200,000 orders for the truck. So I think there were 200,000 born that minute. Don't think all will be sitting in the garage. As for me, the technology is great, but the appearance is just plain ugly.

I think one of those would look just GREAT sitting in your yard/driveway.
You could sell rides, give guided tours. Mark, you would more then likely pay for it in a year or so.
