Truck camper

I like the idea of it, but I sure don't like the price.

A friend of mine in Albuquerque bought one used about a year ago, camper and pickup (combo). I think he paid about $40,000 for the pair. He and his wife (and golden retriever) took a two week trip with it last summer and stayed in federal and state parks the entire time. He's age 70. They are quite pleased with it. I could probably do that with it, but I'm sure my wife wouldn't last 3 days. Not her style.

Love truck campers

I really miss our truck camper. Spent 6 weeks going thru western US, BC UK, NWT, Alaska and back to ON. Paid for 6 nights camping all the rest was roadside, walmart etc. No issues parking in town anywhere That unit was an 8ft with wet bath. Sold it bought a 9'6" unit for our trip to NFLD. Next trip was to New Orleans with friends who have a small Casita trailer. Surprisingly, games nights were in our camper as it had more room for 4 people than the trailer.
As our Grandkids had pretty much stopped travelling with us, we decided to trade our Sunset Trail for a couples 5th wheel. Unfortunatly financial reality dictated that the camper had to go too. As soon as we can afford to though another camper will likely appear in our yard! Cant beat the convenience.
