Thumbs down

I Don know where yall live but there are not very many 10 year old fords driving around but a lot of Chevys. The reason is that 75 percent of those trucks that were sold were company throw away trucks. We have a fleet of over 30000 pickups up to 550,s on the road everyday gas or diesel. The only ones that last over 3 yrs are the GM products. The rest are garbage. We buy them because they are 10000.00 cheaper than gm and junk them after 3 years One of fords better ideas is to have to remove the cab off the chassis to change the engine and in a lot of cases just to work on them. With all the years of dealing with them they are in the majority of cases junk.

Hey Pinocchio, I work on gas and diesel Fords everyday and I don't have to take the cab off. My truck will be 4 yrs old in Oct.only thing been done to it is regular maintenance. You don't seem to like facts, my buddy Steve posted on the Redwood forum that his NEW GMC don't have what his 5yrs old Super Duty had. If you don't believe me go back and read it again, he said when it gets up to speed it's o.k. Just o.k. wow:

Jim, I think you're wasting you breath on trying to get woodwalker to understand the facts. One of my favorite sayings is "You can't argue with ignorance."

Don't you like this thread?????

Well buckwheat you must be one awsome mecanic. Cause everyone of the fords we have ran since 2002 have had to have the cabs pulled to replace engines. In fact I have one in the shop right now with the cab sitting beside the chassis. You may want to go back and reread Steve post and quote it word for word on here to tell the whole story. If you new the facts the only reason ford has a little better bottom end in same gear ratios is because the tranny gears are lower and shift patterns are different. Being someone that works on them all the time I hope you would would know that.

Looks to me like the blind leading the blind. As far as I'm concerned you can enjoy your piece of scrap metal. Good luck with it.

Maybe we should get a trash thread going again and it will help to keep our other threads a little more on topic.
As long as it's kept well mannered and verbally clean we'll let it go.

Have at it guys.

Not pointing this at anyone in particular, just everybody in general.

Do some home work you can pull the engine with out pulling cab. It just a little more work but can be done. It does depends on what the mechanic wants to do.

Seeing that it's a Chevy, probably low gear so as not to plug it.

OOPS
My mistake. I thought it was a commode. Now I see it's meant to be used as lavatory.
You should really put a bar of soap on it Mark.

One thing about a Chevy is even when they quit working they still have useful value.
