Ok, Ok, can't help myself here but, "Our son has had 3 Chevs (back to 05) with Duramax engines "...

3 trucks in 3 years...

I don't know, but a GOOD truck should last longer than that!.........Edited by: Cobra909

Yeah! That does 'read' bad for the Chevy owners.

How about a re-phrase?

Sorry for the confusion folks! I guess it sounded a bit weak to the chevy crowd... But to try to help clear this up, my son,in hisbusywork world, generally trades his trucks after they reach~100,000 tough miles (160,000 km) which can occur in 12 -18 mos. I was just trying to say that there hasn't been any big problems with the now 4 chev/gm Duramax trucks that we have run. To our knowledge all the trades are still out there running as well.

OK, now that's more like it.

12 months - 100,000 miles every year!

I feel better now.

Chris...this is truck wars, please leave Nan's choice of lingerie out of it

My Chevy had 170,000+ miles when I traded it for a Dodge. Not saying anything, but at 2,500 miles, the Dodge has a burned out backup light that I need to replace yet, and I had the dealer replace the radio and wiper motor due to problems with both.

I had to put fuel in my truck at 600 miles. Then I had to put some wax on it at about 2500 miles. I'm getting close to 50,000 miles and I might have to put some tires on it next year.

Dang Chevy's

Was able to drive the Ford truck for the daily commute for the past two weeks. Nice comfortable ride to work every day. Soon it will do the towing to the CG without problems. Makes me think of the Chevy I owned a few years back for a very short time ( and traded in formy currentFord). Those Chevy commercials "like a rock" I think were refering to the seats. The Chevy had 100,000 mile coolant in it but hoses that were only good for 60,000 miles. Like that makes a lot of sense....Especially since the coolent outlet on the manifold corroded out at 55,000miles... The winkest link on that truck was the bow tie on the front of the grill... The was my first, only and last chevy truck.

Hmmmm. 36 hours later and no response from the Chevy and Dodge guys. Must be out in the drive way looking at their trucks, scratching their heads, asking themselveswhy their truck isn't as good as a Ford.

No we Dodge folks are just too busy using our Trucks for what they were built for. Pulling our Cruisers down the road. Our good trucks just keep getting better

Your poor back. My 22 gallon tote tank is a bear to pull with my Chevy.

I have a 25 gallon tote. Pulling it is no problem with my Ford!!! I can see where the Chevy's & Dodges would have trouble; sh***y job for a sh***y truck.
