I did watch the entire video Did not see Ford try it against a CTD.
Even against the DMax they should have used the same driver and did a time trial
for it to be accurate.

The only way to do a fair comparison is to have the same driver drive both vehicles over the same course in a time trial. You and I don't drive the same. If i understand both drivtrains they are about equal in HP and tourque and therefore it is my opinion that either the Ford had a chip or whoever drove the DMax and CTD weren't as good a driver as the Ford driver or possibly it was done as a propagana video by some Ford lover.
In any event I'll stick to my CTD which will be running, without major repairs to the engine long after you wear out the powerstroke.

Just to throw my 2 cents into the "ah,discussion", here is an article on a 2005 Duramax that did 751,837 miles

First time here. We all have our favorites, and we can all find fault with others choices. To each his own. That being said , FORD is like the NE Patriots after a while everyone hates a consistent Winner. Good luck with your choice. I guess this will get some of you going. All in good fun I hope.

Don't know if you are aware of Cummins announcement of the new 6.7 producing 800 ft. pounds of tourque at 1600 coming to RAM in the 3rd quarter. Better engine, less maintenance, no extra cost or time to mess around with the fluids and oh yes you don't need to remove the cab to work on the engine. Ford rules, I don't think so.

Could it possibly be unfair because the Ford was a F450 and the Dodge and Chev were 3500's... What were the gear ratios for the rear end? Maybe the Ford had 4.10s and the others had 3.55s.....
Here is an interesting article: http://www.dieselpowermag.com/featur...uty/index.html
I think the last sentence on the third page sums it up. (you'll need to read the 3 pages to understand)

Hey Mike Just for the record you don't have to remove the cab on the 2011 Ford, they recognized that drawback and corrected it. You are a dodge guy that is great. I have owned 4 Fords and never had any bad luck. I usually turn them at 120K and have never had to do anything but general maintenence. I put 136K on a V6(4.0) Ranger, my son still runs it, 209K. So I still like a Ford product. Are you going for the new Ram? Al
