Anyone get any cool camping gadgets or tools for Christmas? So far I have gotten a battery powered Craftsman impact drill that will come in handy for those flat tires on the busy interstates.

Does a new snowblower count? Using it makes me motivated to get out of the snow and camp earlier in the new year.

Lloyd,
You win, hands down. I hope it is everything you want it to be. I imagine you had a heavy duty package put in to handle your 5er. Did you have anything else "special" done to it? Air shocks, extra springs, etc? Just wondering. We'll have to wait until spring to find out how it's working out for you, but from what I've read from others they are well pleased.

Good luck and happy new year Lloyd,
Jim

We received a CW gift card. Picked up a vent cover, chair/table set, and awning de-flappers!

Only 3 months until we can open back up! half-way thru winter!

Gave my husband a Swift Hitch. Put the monitor on the dash and then attach (magnetic)a wireless camera anywhere on your vehicle. You then can see on the monitor for hook up. Hook up and remove the camera.Saves on the vocal cords and the looks from other campers The only time he would need it is when we have the water tank in the truck. Other times he can use it on the bobcat trailers and hooking up the bobcat trailers to the gravel trucks.

I can't wait to get back camping. There was an article in our local paper saying it was going to be a warmer then usual spring so I hope we well get out in February, but that's prolly wishful thinking. I think I"ll go out to storage and visit her tonight though just to make sure everything looks ok.

We just got our El Dora tickets for June and September I don't remember how far you said you guys lived from there, but if your close maybe you guys could stop by and have a couple cocktails.

Hope your New Years is going good so far,
Chris

Daughter got the old man a portable hammock for relaxing under the trees. My old one has been with me since Viet Nam (1970) and finally rotted out. At least the new one won't need trees except for shade.

UPDATE:

I joked with my dad that his gift cost me $85! We bought a folding chair/table set, vent cover, awning de-flappers, and a few little things.

We are SO ready to get back out. All of our seasonal camping neighbors came over Saturday, and we are all itching to dewinterize and fire up the barbie.
