What's in a Date?

I've read a few posts about build dates in relation to the quality of the manufacturing process, but haven't quite figured it out.
So I have a few questions:
1. Is the date stamped on the trailer the day they started construction or the day they finished?
2. Is it better to have a date earlier or later in the month?
3. Early in the week (Monday) or later in the week (Friday)?
4. How long does it actually take to build one of these rigs? I've seen a video of SOB being completed start to finish in about 6 hours (according to the video)
Thanks in advance and happy camping!

Personally I don't think it makes too much difference...The factory workers have an allotted time to take a camper from start to finish...If any worker has a problem with their assignment, they do not have the time to redo that assignment, and that will end up being a warranty issue for the owner of that camper...Many owners on this forum have requested that the line be slowed down, so the quality would increase...So what it breaks down to is "the luck of the draw"...IMHO

I asked at the factory how long it takes to build one and was told three days. I assume the date on the unit is the date finished. I also asked what day of the week was best, if Friday was bad, and was told it made no difference.

My understanding is that the date stamped is the SCHEDULED finish date. Actual finish date might be earlier (pretty unlikely) or a few days later due to problems, parts shortage, weather delays or other acts of God. I don't think that specific days of the week matter, maybe starting on a Tuesday and finish on a Thursday would be best case. But even if you could schedule it that way, reality will be different much of the time.

There might be good and bad times of the year for a build. Spring time in a good economy and the factories might be building in excess of capacity. Cold, wet winter weather can cause problems as individual components are not equalized before assembly. In my opinion, late fall would be the best time, slower build rates, decent weather and mid-year model improvements ahead of the Louisville manufacturers show.

Tony (TDG) any my Rushmore's were built back to back. 11/28/12. Both with a lot of issues. Perhaps training of workers not up to par. Quality control asleep on the job. Not sure? My neighbor just bought a 2016 Redwood. He's having issues with water leaking from island into belly. Just saying this RV's are put together to fast and sloppy.

Ours was built in October 2011 and has had a lot of issues. We keep hoping we are at the end of our troubles now.
