winter

Just when I thought winter was over here.
This week I took the snowblower off the John Deere and put the mower deck, vacuum and baggier unit on.
Thursday it was dry enough to work on the lawn. So I lowered the mower deck down and got the lawn cleaned up and looking real nice.
Yesterday old man winter gave us 2-3 in. of this topping.

Up north I have to wait until May to do that. Even then, we’ve had some snow. We were melting pretty good and just got dumped on yesterday.

Neither of those events, mowing or snowing, sound like a bit of fun to me.
It was 90 here in central Arizona yesterday, was tempted to turn on the AC.

tt, that's your choice where you live. This happens to be our choice.
I have wintered numerous years in southern AZ. and I will say anything above 80 to 85 degrees is to hot for my liking.
As far as mowing grass, I usually find that job rather enjoyable. Much rather see the solid green instead of the bare stones and rocks with an occasional saguaro sticking up.

We live near Denver and it was 70 here two days ago and will be again tomorrow. The Friday in between it was cold, windy, and we got an inch of snow. Around here we say you can't trust the weather for planting until Memorial Day. That said I went on a hike last year with some friends on June 30 and it snowed where we were.

Also am glad you live where you do!
Been to Michigan in the summer with temps 80-90 with that much, or more, humidity & felt much hotter than here at 110 with 10-12% humidity.
Seeing your photos of snow is as close to that type of winter weather as I ever plan to be again, can't do the cold anymore.
Different strokes for different folks.

Lloyd, just blow the snow with the cutting deck. Should work if the snow is not too wet.

Or this;

No grass to cut yet Shane. I was just picking the dead grass and leaves. Kind of sprucing it up so to speak.

Hey Mark, it's all melted already.
I suppose I really shouldn't be posting snow pictures. It seems some don't like them.

Post all the pictures you like!!! As long as the snow is where you're at.
You'll NEVER see one posted with me & snow in the same picture again unless absolutely by accident or very bad timing.

Now now tt, your name wasn’t mentioned. Relax. My goodness, if looking at pictures of snow stresses you out that bad, don’t look at them. Simple fix!
We surely wouldn’t want you to have a spaz attack. Just sit back, relax, and cool your jets, you’ll be OK.

You're the one constantly making snippy remarks at EVERYTHING I post on this subject, or any other.
I made a personal statement that I don't do cold anymore to which you said you hated the barron desert, you don't like heat, I don't like cold, to each their own!!!!
So go mow your snow covered grass while I continue to state my personal opinions about snow, or any other subject & keep the snarky remarks to yourself if you don't mind.
Have a great day!!!

Well we just got snow for the "like 8 th or 9th time" . I want spring and summer. I look after our local archery range and pretty much camp all summer out there.

With all the provincial campgrounds shut down. I now am getting asked if there is "room out there?". I think it is funny now because. All I ever got in the past was " you'll never see me with out power and water"

Funny thing is I bring a 250 gallon slip tank and pay for a vac guy to come when full. But I can not say "No". I believe out range will become a social distance camp ground for a bit this spring.

I have to agree with Lloyd I like the change of season...I am also more prone to the cold weather as apposed to hot, I can dress warmer but not the other way around...I will also admit that low humidity has a lot to do with how comfortable you are in the summer months...

Mark...I like that guy's plow set up, good old American ingenuity...Gotta wonder though if his television worked after he was done plowing...
