Yesterday a man passed away and the world will miss him. He was born in a small town in Colorado, and had two other brothers and a sister. When he was five, he lost his father. His mother was a strong person and help run the grocery store with two other partner. There was not enough income to support all so they move to Denver. There the finish the growing up. They all took what ever jobs they could find newspaper sales on corners, selling candy in the summer the three boys work at cattle ranches and did some hard rock mining. They pooled their money together. and helped each other go to college and get their degrees. The Oldest died in a accident right after WW2 when he returned from the Burma Theater. The Sister became a well know teacher. The middle son became a scientist for Eastman Kodak. The last became a FBI agent In 1940 he met a young lady from Mississippi and married her. in 1940 he enlisted in the Army Air Corp and became a pilot. Flew some fighters and than went into the bombers. He became the father of three childern, one outlaw and two really brilliant children. He rose to the top of the ladder in his chosen field. along the way he taught his kids to look at a person in the eyes. That a hand shake was your bond never to be broke no matter what the cost. He believed in God and was a stanch supporter of the Armed Forces. did many fund raises for them. He started a scholarship fund (Still going) For under privledge kids in Chicago.
In 1980 he retired and moved back to that small town in Colorado where he became active in all affairs o fthe community. Some of his proudest moments were the starting of a musem, getting the town into the Historic Era. Getting the Cematary repair and up and running right. and helped bring medical service back to the county. Three years ago it became apparent that his wife was no longer able to function as a cook, so a move to a assisted living home was made. He had to leave his Beloved Ouray. His wife developed Alzihimer and had to go into a memory care unit. Rather than have her go in by herself he check himself in with her. He lost his wife last May. the were married 70 years. in August his health started to go down. Nothing to live for his wife gone living in a place he never wanted to be in. Yesterday he Joined his wife and is probably very happy. I lost a friend a confident a great father and grandfather. I was talking to Janet last night ,and it became apparent that if he had to start over today the present government would have not allowed it to happen. Thank for hearing me out, on the way to Colorado in a little while. God bless and all have safe travels

Frank -- I am sorry to hear of your father's passing. After reading your eulogy of your father, it touched me, and made me think of my own father who has been gone for sixteen years now, and a member of your fathers generation. A generation that more American should try to model their lives after. They did not feel that they deserved anything, but if they worked hard they cold EARN what they wanted for themselves and their families. God bless you Frank and your family, and may your father reside in HIS EVERLASTING LIGHT.

Frank,
Among the other things your father was a great patriot. He stepped up and served his country in several ways. Where do we get such men?
Sorry for his loss. The nation should mourn along with you as the number of these great heroes is rapidly dwindling.
