12 volt plug

Do any of the new Sunset trails come with a 12 volt plug? I have a 2018 262BH and there are none that I can find. Would like to have one so I can use a small 300 watt inverter to charge my Laptop.

Take out the converter and add a fuse and connect a 12 v plug to it . I drilled a hole near the converter to put plug . Or add on to the stereo live .

Our Reserve has a cigarette lighter style plug in the through-N-through storage compartment right beside the light switch, but I don't expect that to be much use to you. Check out where your propane gas detector is in your trailer, good source of 12v that you could steal power from ahead of the fuse depending on location..

Our Cruiser has a 12 volt outlet on the plate where the tv antenna connects. Both in the bedroom and the tv cabinet in the main room.

Happy Camping!

12V plug

I upgraded the lights in our RV to LED's. Then added an automotive 12V plug by tapping into the wiring for the lights. I'm just going to be charging my phone so by reducing the load from incandescent to LED I figure I'm good.

Just be sure and get the polarity right or you can toast your small (and delicate) electronics.

Our 2016 Reserve has both a 12v port and two usb ports near the tv antenna booster.

Many have only one 12V socket (not plug, that is the male side) located by the Television. It has 12Volts inside to power the little amplifier. There is a fuse in these, usually around 8 amps, and is designed to power a small 12V television. Be careful about using such a socket (female, or outlet) for an inverter, or anything that might draw serious amps. For that I would install a socket near the converter, where heavy-amperage DC is available, and fuse it also.

Thanks that is what I was thinking I would have to do.

My Grand Reserve came with a two port USB plug in the cubby hole next to the DVD/Radio. This burned out back in August when we plugged two Iphone 8's into it. I went on Amazon and purchased this replacement:

It was a perfect replacement for the burned out one.

On a side note, how I knew it was burned out is I started smelling electrical fumes and found the old one was really hot to the touch without anything plugged in. I had to pull the fuse and snip the old one out.
