If they had "reliable" gauges on them so you knew what you had instead of a swag (sorry wild a## guess) it would help in deciding if you had enough. As stated I've never had too much, but have ran out more than once. The 30# are heavy & you have to refill instead of replace, but most rv parks have propane on site, so I would go 30s, if 25 pounds affects you that bad get more truck or wait & buy the beer when you get there.

Nope? Me neither. My only propane-related problems have been due to too little propane.
I like 30 pounders, my 250rb came with 20 pounders. Before I traded in the jayco I took the 30 pounders off of it and put them and the cover on my 250rb. I couldn't get the cover off without dragging it across the front of my trailer. So being vain about my trailer's appearance I quit using them.

I bought 2-20 pound tanks at Sams Club with gauges that actually work. Got them for around $25 each. They're great, I should buy 2 more.

I like the 20s. I have 4, 2 for the camper, 1 for my grill at home and a spare. When 1 goes empty, I swap out the spare and take it to be filled. Then once I hit the inspection date, I can swap it out at Wally World with a fresh one.

Just be aware when you swap out a tank you'll be getting 15lbs not 20lbs. The tanks are the same size but I'm not sure if they can be refilled to 20lbs.
