We have the 7 Function Key FOB Remote. It was part of a promotional package that CrossRoads did last fall, so came with the trailer. I have used it several times and although convenient to have I don't think that I would pay the extra bucks for it.

I did take the chance and ordered my Cruiser with the 7 function remote, so I did pay extra for it. I find it is useful when opening the slideouts where I can stand outside and watch for problems rather than being inside the coach. Also, helpful to observe operation of the power cord/ utilities supports that fold with the slideout ( I adjusted one that was binding) and listen/observe other noises. I don't carry the remote with me, but keep it next to the control center and take it out when I want to use it.

One was included with our package, but I seldom use it and would probably not pay extra just to have it. Last time I used it I turned on the scare light without knowing it and it took me several hours and a visit to the forum to figure out why the light wouldn't go out even when I disconnected the switch.

when we stayed away later then planned it was really helpful being able to turn on the scare lite when we returned, also i like being able to watch the slides and the awning come out,
on the other hand we bought a hard case to keep it in as we have nightmares about putting something out while driving down the road

Mine came with the rig and I love it, thought about a spare, are they expensive to get / replace? Good idea on the case BTW!

Mine didn't come with it but I'm having it installed. I camp in a lot of state parks, it will be nice to be able to extend the slide while out looking for clearance. Will also be nice to be able to turn on the scare lights and inside lights when coming back after dark.

Does the FOB operate the inside lights also, I thought it only operated the scare light.

Scare light, rear stabilizers, awning, all slides. It also has a small LED on the end as a flashlight. Inside lights would be nice, good idea.

When I get mine installed I am going to have it hooked up to control the inside kitchen lights, main slide, awning, porch lights, scare lights. The cost of the hardware is $285 plus installation. I am not going to hook up the bedroom slide or the rearstabilizers.

just bought a 2012 CF325MK fifth wheel. ours came with the unit installed and i would not have it any other way. being a rookie at the slides, it is real nice to be able to stand outside and observe what is going on.

i will also be using it to turn on the scare light now that i know the remote will do this as well. dont think i would want to do without the remote now that i have used it !
