A/C and furnace fans

Hi

I am out at a campground and i have no heat or cold air. I have one thermostat that runs furance and ac but when i go and use the furance part of it only the blower comes on and when i tried the ac, only the blower of the ac comes on no cold air. Any suggestions that i should be trying? Thank you in advance.

first, on the thermostat make sure the fan is set to auto. then if you want to run the furnace, make sure you turn on the propane and bleed the lines by operating your stove top first. This will ensure you have all the air out of the propane line. then set your heat on the thermostat above the inside air temp by at least 5 degrees. to operate the AC, again leave fan setting to auto, but set cooling temperature at least 5 degrees below air temp and it should start the AC unit. Also you need to be hooked up to shore power to operate the AC unit. Hope that helps.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did that and i only get the blowers to work still. No heat or cold air at either appliances. There is propane cause the stove is fires up and the fridge is running on propane. I am wondering if it could be a faulty thermostat? Any other suggestions to what to check for would be greatly apprietated.

based on the fact you are having problems with the furnace and the AC, I would say your guess about the thermostat is probably correct. I am not sure what thermostat you have, but there may be a way to reset it. If that doesn't work, I would replace it.

its a duo therm thermostat. Fan comes on in fan mode in the ac but when i swich to cool it shuts off and now the furance does not start the fan or turn on when heat mode. Checked all fuses and they are good. Checked the board on furance and the little red lite flashes. Any ideas. Its a hydro flame furance and a duotherm ac

For 4 button reset:
  • Turn the ON/OFF switch to ON. The display light with
data should come on. If the light and data are not there,
    see Section B2 Cable Assembly.
  • Depress mode to activate display light.
  • Depress the bottom two buttons (up & down) together.
  • While still holding the two buttons add the third from the
bottom (mode) , hold all three for a few seconds.
  • Release the third (mode) button.
  • Release the bottom two (up & down) together.
  • Depress the mode button. The display light should be
off. If not, repeat steps 2 through 6.
The control should return to the default setting of 68oF for
heating mode and 72oF for cooling mode.

There is a possibility that the thermostat has a fuse in it. Check for that.
