The forum has been the go to place for me, thanks to all of the experts out there! Now a question I havent been able to find an answer for...

Our fiver recently began leaking condensation at the main A/C vent/return. It normally runs off the roof and drips off the back corners. Now there is a steady/significant drip inside. I removed the A/C cover on top and looked around and found nothing that appeared to be the culpret. While I had the cover off, I blew out the A/C coils and cleaned around the base of the roof unit.

Since I didnt have any luck on top, I removed the inside A/C vent cover and air filter housing. I noticed condensation was pooling in the A/C mounting bracket and was dripping inside from that point, but none of the wood or other materials were wet. After thorough inspection with a flashlight, I could not determine where the condensation was originating or how it was getting pooled to the mounting bracket. Has anyone ran into this issue or know of likely causes/solutions?

I also double checked the fiver with 2 different levels and the fiver is sittinglevel side to side and is approx 1" low on the back end or 1" high on the front - depending on your preference.

Thanks!

Is there a hole or hose to where the condensate normally comes out?

Is so you might want to start there? If there is blockage it could drip into your air handler.

Is this a Dometic brand and is there a manual with drawings offered online?

Make sure the bolts thatclamp your A/C to the roof are tight. Ipull the inside cover off and check mine every spring to make sure they do not back off some. If they are loose the water will come in around theA/C bracket.

We had the same problem with condensation on the roof (inside) near the A/C unit of our Cruiser. This only happened when we were camping seaside with high humidity. I spoke with Tech at local dealership and was advised to run the A/C on high in a high humidity area and this would stop. It worked and we never had the problem again. Not sure if this will solve your problem, but just an idea.
