After experiencing slightly sub par performance with our AC last trip out and after reading all the threads on duct\divider issues I decided to check out my unit from inside the camper.
Pulling off the cover I found that the divider had come loose. It seems to have been originally taped in with a few small pieces of foil tape. The output (cold air) side is not well sealed. Several holes and small gaps that need tape.
The ducts have been taped at the edge but it has started to come loose.
I also pulled one of the registers for a look. My model seems to have a grey foam board duct, not a tube as I've read in other models. There wasnt a lot of debris. The hole for the register was drilled by a big hole saw and the pilot bit penetrated the top of the foam duct work. The edges of the roof were poorly taped and could use some TLC.
Like others I think I found s few simple solutions to my AC woes. If you havent checked yours, it might be worth a look.
The tube is fabricated from rigid foam board and it has to pass thru each roof truss. Damage from the pilot bit thru the top of the duct is pretty common also. Finally while it is important to seal leaks at each vent, they need to be rechecked, ceiling panels flex up and down and leaks can reappear.

It all goes back to the quality control which is not to good. The engineers are lacking many skills if this is there final plan. I have had some of the same issues but have corrected with a bit of work. Once all is repaired then we have to look at the return restriction issues as seen with the wires in the picture. I just don't understand what they are thinking.

They ran all the wires right through the duct work which is the return for both ac units and then spray foamed it on each side.
Not acceptable to me but they say it's ok???
Being a builder for over 30 years I am actually able to do the calculations but CR won't listen and say it's acceptable.

That's crazy. Maybe there's a job back there that you could teach them about cfm?
Open a duct size based on flow needs and then plug it and say it's okay!
