Has anyone added a 2nd bedroom AC unit or does just the one keep it cool enough? I have a Cruiser CF32BL on order and being in Texas, I'm thinking that the single 15k AC may not cut it during the summer. The trailer will have 50amp service and is prepped for the 2nd air conditioner. If anyone has added it, what did you have to do to tie into the ducting? Or did you just install it so that the cold air blows straight down?

if its prepped for the second ac then the ducting should also have been prepped as well.

If you "ordered"your 32BL, add the 2nd unit to the order. Let the factory do the install for you...if it's not too late.

If you are in Texas get a second AC installed. We have been using both ours the last three days during the day and the main unit at night since I am a light sleeper. If your unit has the 50 amp service I would think it would be prepped for the second AC but check to make sure. And as others have said, if you are ordering it see if the factory will install it. If the factory won't do it but it is prepped your dealer should be able to do the install without any issue.

Thanks for the replies. I had already gotten a price from the dealer and the cheapest 13.5k ac they can install will be just under 900 bucks. I was just curious if I would really need it and if so, how the unit ties into the ducting. I'll probably shop around or wait till camping world puts em on sale again for about 500 then just drop it in myself. Thanks again.

Your 15k main unit will work fine at night to keep the trailer cool even in the South. But when you get temps 95* and above during the day the 13.5k in the front will help the 15k keep the trailer nice and comfy. If we had it to do over again I would probably go with a non ducted for the bedroom, I think that put out more air than the ducted model.

We have 2007 CF29CK with one 15,000 unit and we live in Florida. It is getting hot and we found that the bedroom was not cool enough during the day. We put a smal fan on the kitchen counter to pull cool air into the bedroom. We were not getting much air in the bedroom even when we closed the main unit off at night and just sent air through the ducts. My husband removed the duct covers and checked for leaks. What he found was that when the factory installed the ducts, the tape was so bunched up around the ducts that it was blocking air from getting through the ducts. The area is small enough to begin with but with the sloppy tape job, it made it even worse. He removed all of the original tape and retaped the ducts with a/c tape. When we put the duct covers back on and tried the air again, we saw a big difference in the air flow to the front bedroom. We are camping next weekend in South Florida so that will be the true test. Hoping for a cool nights sleep. Will let you know!

I'm assuming that your ordered the CF32bl Patroit edition. I would go with the 2nd ac.

I added a second unit to mine myself. I did not see anything prepped for ducting the air.
The discharge air vent is aimed directly into the kitchen area, so there is no problem moving the air. It also works much better than the factory installed unit.
I bought mine on Ebay, new, for about $600.00.
The install was pretty easy. I also removed the power vent that was there and installed it in the bathroom in place of the little fan that was there. Worked out great!
