Alpha Ply roof membrane

If you have this roof, be sure your wiper seals don't deteriorate. Apparently there is some sort of reaction when the rubber deteriorates.

Will, I take it that is the roof on the slide? Is that where the seal sits when the slide is in?

Where it is when it is out. I also have to clean the area where it was when it was in.....it is bubbled up also, but I don't think it has the holes yet. I'll go ahead and put roof repair tape on it though. Already have two slides that have had to have tape on them.

IIRC, CR only used this membrane two years.....wonder why?

I'll have to check my documentation to see if I have the Alpha. What years did they use it?
I have slide toppers, last time I looked, the tops of the slides were in good condition. Do you have toppers or are yours exposed to the sun?

No slide toppers. Lots of hot sun in south Texas too. Our unit is a 2012. Not sure which other year used it. Only plus I see is the Alpha Ply doesn't chalk like the rubber does.

Thanks Will, when I clean the roof the water turns white, which I believe would mean it's chalking. Hopefully this means I don't have the Alpha. Still going to look at the build sheet I have though. Ours was built in May 2010.
