atwood water heater

My water heater works fine on electricity. But when switching to propane, the ignitor lights the propane and it runs for about 10 seconds and then goes out. It tries this three times and then locks out. I have removed the connectors to the board and cleaned them ,as well as removing ignitor ,adjusting gap and cleaning it as well. I had this same issue at the start of last year but it all of a sudden it started working. Should I be replacing the circuit board, ignitor or both ? Any ideas

Turn all your stove top burners to insure you have gas flowing. Check burner tubes on the water heater for insects, they are drawn to the smell of propane & can plug up the tubes.

Another circuit board.
Let us know when you have replaced it.

Or could be the thermocouple. Device that senses the flame after ignition. This bimetallic device sends a small electric current to the gas valve to hold it open after ignition
