Awning Repair

My awning has some small holes in it where it attaches to the camper, plus a small tear in one area. Otherwise the awning is in fairly good shape. My thought is to use some 4" Gorilla Patch and Seal Tape or Flex Rubberized Waterproof Tape. The Gorilla tape is considerably less, but I am curious as to what tape others have found to work best for this appliation?

I did a quick forum search re awning repairs and found that most folks recommend Gorilla tape. I am going to give this a try, if it does not work adequately I will look into having someone do a stitch repair.

Heat the Gorilla tape after using will set the glue.

You can also replace just the awning fabric, it is not to difficult if you a just a little bit handy. There are videos on YouTube of the process.

Eternabond EPDM Tape is best to use for your awning repair. It's intended for roof repairs, but works for many other things. I patched a friends' awning rip with it 4 years ago and its still holding strong. Make sure you know where you want it to be placed, since once it makes contact it is permanent!
It's available in rolls or sheets. I keep a roll in my rig all the time. I wouldn't go camping without some on hand.
