Battery issue?

We have a 2016 Hill Country 26RB (a Sunset Reserve with a Texas package).

I frequently check the tank status and, of course, hit the battery status at the same time. No worries -- shows four red lights which, I believe, shows the batteries are fully charged.

I had to disconnect the shore power and the entire RV went dark. No lights, fridge went off, etc.

Help!!

Is there a battery switch I don't know about? Did the status lights lie to me?

What am I missing here?

If you are plugged into elec, the battery status will always show full. You must have a dead battery or it is not hooked up. Get a multimeter and see if you indeed have 12-13 volts at the battery.
There is no battery disconnect from the factory...I installed one myself.
If the wires are not hooked up be careful hooking as there is no red and black , there is white and black. Should be a sticker on tongue telling which is which.

OK, thanks. Will be back at that RV tomorrow so I'll check out the wiring.

What information does the battery indicator lights provide? To accurately determine the battery condition, you have to disconnect from shore power?

Yes , indicators will show full while converter is charging . Show actual state of charge when only on battery . Will show full when hooked to running truck.
You may have battery with little water in it as it may be over charging. Have to check battery fluid regularly . If so , add distilled water and it may take a charge again .

Finally got a call back from the Service Department of the dealer where we purchased this RV and she told me to look for a red breaker located between the batteries and a black metal box located on the tongue. Supposed to look for a little reset button located on the side of that red breaker.

She also said if the battery indicator lights are working when connected to shore power, it shows that the converter is working.

I'll be at the RV tomorrow and will see what I can find. Will update this thread with the results.

If it's like the fresh water or black/grey tank sensors they tell you absolutely nothing.
