There is no soft start installed. I'll check what the exact draw is for start up and run next time we use it and I remember my amp clamp.

13500 AC’s on average need 2700-2900 watts to start and half that to run.

That sure appears to be a good deal. It's just that a lot of folks are getting older and they don't want to be lifting 100+ lbs.
