Awhile back Larry Day and I were talking about this topic. There is something???out now that you can convert over to and it eliminates those blasted sensors. I seen it advertized in Highways magazine. I wish I had kept track of it, cause I am about ready to switch.

Old Farmer: Are you refering to 'See-level" (if I recall correctly)??? I think it goes on the outside of the tank.
Every once in a while I will fill it about 1/4 to 1/3 full with water and 2 bags of ice just before departure. The bouncing/movement on the road clean them all up. It cleans the sensors until the next time you fill the tank.

The best thing we have found is a wand which we purchased as an RV supply centre. It fits on the end of a garden hose and after you shut the water supply to your unit off just stick it inside and down into the toilet while holding the foot pedal down and rotate the wand around and up and down to spray water into the holding tank and onto the measurement device in the tank. The wand has a off/on button on it and the spray comes out the end of the wand at 90 deg.

I use a combination of the geo method and spraying it down really well with a wand. Between these two methods, I can get pretty clear water coming out of my tank when I am done. Have not had a problem with my sensors or any odors since using this method. I have also used the ice trick on occasion.
