Somewhere I read about a treatment for the black water tank with calgon water softener and some other stuff....I think there were three items in it. Does this ring a bell for anyone? Where can I learn about this?

it is called the geo method and I love it. Works far enter than any camper chemicals. just don't do the bleach treatment until you are certain any remaining chemical packets are completely dissolved and gone. Don't ask how I learned that valuable tidbit.

I've been using the Geo-Method for several years now and it works very well. Unfortunately, I'm having real difficulty locating Calgon in either the dry or liquid form. We were down in the southwestern states for about 7 weeks and I checked every Walmart and grocery store that were in, none of them had Calgon. I went on to using Borax but it doesn't work as well as the Calgon. When I was using Calgon, I used about 1 cup of Calgon and about 1/2 cup of cheap dishwashing liquid with about 5 gallons of water in the Black (63 gal.)tank.

George,
Let me know if you can't find it and how close you are to either Old Quebec City, Montreal, or Niagara Falls. I'll be in all 3 cities from the middle of June until early July. Be glad to bring so to you. $15 for a quart is too much. I'd be glad to bring you some...just let me know if you can make it to any of those cities...oh, and I have some Solvit too

Travel well,
Jim
