This spot is pretty directly under the bedroom window, and not terribly far from the door. Also the passthrough in the front. I'll peel back the black fabric and see what I can see. What's the standard for putting the black fabric back to position? Gorilla tape?

I believe you should look in the area of the window and door first. Remember water runs down hill so I would look above the soft spot. Water leaks are hard to find the source of because it could be leaking in one spot and the damage be in another area several feet away.
