My first post since Oct last year.. Given the vast amount of experience in this Forum - I once again seek your sage advice. I am planning a road trip from Halifax Nova Scotia to the Bostson area this August. I intend on going through Maine to Mass. I would like to spend some time near Boston, Salem (its a daughter thing) - and potentially Cape Cod. Where do you good people recommend that I camp? Any Do's and don'ts I should know about certain camp sites? No pets!!

Thanks......

Normandy Farms Family Camping Resort, it's been several years, but we also had a Daughter thing in Boston for several years. One of the nicest CG's we've stayed at. It's in Foxboro, south of town. Found it in Frommers. The wife would like to go back but the daughter moved back to Durham, and we're in Wisc. so it may be awhile.

Normandy is nice, but I have only been there in November. Indoor pools, two outdoor pools, looks like a lot to do when they are fully open.

Bayview is nice. THey are slightly overprotective with the pools - kids need coast guard certified PFD's, no swimmies.

On the other side of the bridge is Bourne Scenic park. They have two new pools and you want to be on that side of the park. We will be there for a week in June. They have the pools, playground and a canal bike path for biking, walking, jogging. There are always boats or all sizes going through and a couple years ago we saw two pilot whales about 30 feet away from fisherman.
