Cabinet Door Repair?

On our last trip we got home and noticed the hinge screws on two cabinet doors
have stripped out and doors hanging. Cabinets are not real wood. Particle board so I guess that's why they pulled out. Anyone done this type of repair? I thought of glueing toothpicks or wood dowel plug into screw holes and remounting. Three
hour drive to dealer so want to fix myself. Thanks for any advice

Wooden golf tees work very well too. Good wood glue, drive in hole and let dry, and cut flush with surface.

Good idea, just make sure the peg you are driving into the hole isn't to much bigger then the hole. It might have a tendency to split if it's to big.

All of the above will work perfect and the toothpicks with a little glue might be the best. Once in just trim with utility knife or break off.
Yup.... I'm a finish carpenter and builder so done it many times.

Wooden matches and wood glue. 2 sizes to choose from.

I prefer to fill the holes in with epoxy and then drill a pilot hole and re screw.

Cabinet Door Repair

Thanks for ideas on how to repair stripped out cabinet door screws. I used toothpicks and rite bond wood glue. Seems to have worked well. Time will tell
