The 4000W generator I take with me to race tracks is a Champion. I like it. It's pretty economical and not too noisy. It only weighs 100 lbs.

For the March race here at California Speedway, we buy the weekend pass for the offsite campground just outside of the track. It's less expensive then the inside track locations and the sites are much bigger. Way too cramped inside.

We arrive on Thursday morning first thing and stay until Monday morning to avoid traffic. It's just west of the track 1/4 mile and either ride bikes or take the shuttle over to the track. They have done a good job for shuttles, showers, etc.

We've been there now for ten or so years and have a group we look forward to seeing each race.
