Circuit breaker

We woke up this morning to have our main circuit breaker kicked with virtually nothing running all night?! AC is off, heat was off, fireplace was off..... After much inspection and trial and error my husband figured it was the microwave causing this to happen?? As long as it is off at the breaker box, everything else stays on.... We were not using the microwave at the time and it was in the middle of the night sometime?! Any answers or guidance for this?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

If you put your camper model and year in your signature it helps others to know what you are working on. Do you have 30 or 50 amp service? What did you have on and running when the breaker tripped? Is your water heater on electric? Take note of everything that was running and see if you maybe you were over the breaker rating.

My cruiser is 30 amp. If we run the 15000 ac and the water heater and microwave while the coffee pot is on the breaker trips. But that just occurs when the AC is starting the compressor and the water heater is heating as these draw a lot when starting.

So please give us some more information and someone will be better to help you.

We have a 2019 sunset trail grand reserve 33SI. Nothing was running at the time this happened in the middle of the night... AC was off, heat was off and the fireplace was off. It is a 50 amp

I addressed this in your other post with all the electrical problems you are having and it being new take it to the dealer. Main breakers do not trip by them selves as you stated nothing was on. Something major is wrong.

Maybe there was a surge at the campground. Those breakers are the to protect your camper too!
